The 2024 Bannaby Angus Bull sale on 16 August achieved a 100% clearance and averaged $13,522 for 60 bulls. The sale was strong right across the lineup with the last lot selling for $12,000, with three of the last 8 bulls selling for $16,000 each. Buyers came from the Central and Southern Tablelands, the Southern Highlands and the Upper Hunter.
The highest price paid was $32,000 for Bannaby Alternative T236 sold to Krawarree Pastoral Co, Braidwood. The second highest price of $28,000 was paid for Bannaby Quixote T253 by Masterton Pastoral Co, Goulburn. Bulk buyers on the day were long time client Mt David Holdings, Mt David, NSW who purchased 9 bulls, including the two equal third top priced bulls, Bannaby Command T140 and Bannaby Quixote T267 for $22,000 each.
